Exhibition was Hooray and Hooray is Today.

This little poem made me really happy...it is so simple
yet so powerful. I came across it in this catalouge
documenting this exhibition of four artists in NY.
The exhibition is Hooray do the research or not.

TypeTreats for TightTimes

Lately, I've been trying to step up my hand
drawn type skills and this is a manifestation
of a few typetreats regarding our economy.

Keavenly R(adams).

This man is truly transcendental.

Mock Trial with Judge Reinhold!

This guy makes the world go round...who wouldn't
want to hug this man.

The future was bright...(and upside down)

When you put these fantastical shades on you will be able
to see upside down hot dogs and other things...whoaa whoa
the future is too bright even for myself. I must stop before
its too late...if you wear these long enough your mind will
begin to see things once upside down right side up but progressively, which makes it even more trippy.
Woudln't you want to wear prisms on your
eyeballs?

Side Weirdness...(its not really weird, its just what I labeled the folder it was in)

Hybrids.

This is an amazing image I found
on the back of a catalog about
hybrid buildings. Interesting...

Yo you must peep the mad game on this track. This was
our last Advanced Image Making class which lead to
the creation of a rap song. It was much fun...take a listen.

The DUDES.

Haha this photo captured by Bugan (Michelle) is
pretty great. This was the final day at OTIS and
one to hopefully remember fondly.

The Skater Creator is born.

These are the final posters explaining my
senior thesis which entailed the creation of graphic
system to induce creativity, individualism, and community
within kids through the creation of skateboard graphics.
The final boards I created to test the system will be up soon...

Doughboy Specimen.

This is the outcome of two semesters of
type design with Greg Lindy. I wanted to make
an extra black displayface that emphasized the
more rotund character of the everyday.

Bags (not the kind under my eyes)

For the senior show I was chosen (by default)
to print and design the bags for the show. It was
really hard to get an even print but after many hours
and help from Sudeshna, we finally came up with a
proper proof.

Real Recognizes Real.

the Late Night Show at OTIS!

This is one of the many late nights at OTIS this final
semester and I thought this photo summed them up.

Advanced Image Making.

Job well done! One of our most memorable Advanced Image
Making classes entailed a trip to the Standard downtown to hear
a speaking on architecture and urban planning. This night was a
crowd pleaser, although only a handful went (note: no images were made; only experienced).

Explorations of the spray.

As part of my thesis, I chose to do some spray paint
explorations using simple shape/line stencils.

Ink Trails...

This is the beginning of a poster for STs US tour. It is
going to be a type heavy poster but I like the direction
it is headed.

Recognize Real.

This is a poster I printed a couple hours
ago for the Alcohol Awareness screening at OTIS.

Lesson 1: Respect the Reverse Jam

These are the shoes me and my friend Elliot at Carnegie Mellon did for the class he teaches Sneakology 101.

The Lone Star runs deep.

Mylan is the best! The OCOG (E.Gibson) and I were at
Ralph's the other day and we were lucky enough to run
into Mylan and Jessica and I complimented Mylan's pin
(red (left)) and she graciously let me front it (I might have
to give it back). I don't really think I can qualify as 'The
Texas Special' but either way it is a rad pin.

SUZANARCHRY in the (black) Beverly (Baldwin) Hills.

So, last saturday Suzanne (blue hair) needed help with
her senior thesis which required the consumption of an entire
bottle of red passion Alize mixed with fruit punch Gatorade
of course and 12 inches worth of sandwich (no pun intended).

ST development/progression.

ST Process Beginnings...

I recently started the pbook for thesis and am looking
forward to many more hours of tedious (but quite satisfying)
composite, layout, and type setting funtime.

How to avoid a brick.

After being snaked out of a parking space, I became really
angry (not my usual temperament). I then thought destructive
things and settled for this (although it's not quite as active as
I would have liked it to be...it was still fun).

Strike most places.

I finally finished these matchboxes me and Amaranth
have been grinding on. But I do have to say it is
pretty gratifying to be done and to know how it feels
to work at slave wages under dangerous work environments
(there is still hope for my future in India or possibly Vietnam).
JOKING but I def put the time in.

Space Travel. Cool Vibes. Latin Fever.

These are some new sketch books I printed.
They have a kind of 70s Flashback-type
of thing working. I kind of dig it.
